About me

I'm a professionally trained and accredited funeral celebrant, and have been living and working in Oxfordshire for over 15 years. I’m married to Sean and a mum to two grown-up children, Georgie and Lewis and have a passion for growing cut flowers! But above all, I bring a lifetime of experience to this role.

I’ve always enjoyed writing and speaking - whether professionally, at community events or family occasions - and I bring this into creating and delivering ceremonies that feel natural, personal and authentic.

My first experience of delivering a eulogy was for my own father’s funeral. I spent a long time carefully shaping the words so they truly reflected who he was, including his sense of humour and incredibly caring nature, as well as some of his foibles! I found the writing process quietly healing and my hope is always that working with families to tell a loved one’s story brings comfort to them and those who attend the ceremony.

Alongside my celebrant work, I bring many years of experience in healthcare research, where listening deeply and asking thoughtful questions to understand people’s stories has always been at the heart of what I do.

With a background in psychology and coaching, I’m able to support you and your family with sensitivity and understanding, and help you to find the words that truly reflect the life being remembered.

I trained through The Academy of Professional Celebrants, and I continue to build on this through ongoing learning and development.

I am also trained in working with crematorium systems such as Obitus, helping to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day.
