Types of ceremony

There are many ways to commemorate and remember a life.

Here are some of the ways I can help.

  • I will work with you to create a personalised cremation or burial ceremony, to reflect and honour a life. On the day, I will lead the ceremony and deliver as much of it as you need - I can deliver the entire service or intersperse it contributions from others, such as tributes, poems and pieces of carefully chosen music.

  • I can create a bespoke ceremony, held after a funeral in a place that feels right to you. This can offer a little more time and flexibility, allowing you to gather people together and create something meaningful, with the option for others to contribute or for me to guide the ceremony throughout.

  • If you’d like to take an active role in the ceremony, I can support you in shaping your tribute - helping you to find the words, refine what you’d like to say and feel more confident about delivering it. And if it feels too much on the day, I’ll be there to step in and read it for you.

  • This can be a simple, personal and often more intimate ceremony to mark the scattering or burial of ashes. This can take place somewhere meaningful that happens after a cremation, offering a quieter moment to reflect and remember.

  • I can work with you to plan your own funeral in advance. Incorporating special memories that you have of those around you makes for the most personal of services, bringing comfort to those close to you, as well as giving everyone a sense of clarity and reassurance that they are doing the right thing when the time comes.

  • This is a ceremony that I will create with you, and deliver while you are still able to be part of it. It offers the opportunity to gather loved ones, share memories and hear what others would like to say - celebrating your life in a way that feels right to you!
